Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Dais honored today Al-Hikma University with a shield of excellence and creativity for winning the third place in the third scientific competition among Yemeni university students in the field of civil engineering for the year 1446 AH.
At the award ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Education congratulated the winners of the third scientific competition, which was organized in two days by the Higher Education Sector in cooperation with Sana'a University with the participation of 160 students from 25 public and private universities from Sana'a and various governorates, under the patronage of Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Sadi.
The Deputy Minister praised all the efforts that contributed and participated in the success of the third scientific competition, which comes within the student activities in various scientific, cultural and sports fields, considering the competitions and student activities as part of the university's mission to care for youth, develop the spirit of creativity, competition and innovation, promote cooperation, partnership and exchange of experiences and knowledge among university students.
For his part, Vice President Dr. Majid Al-Qatawi stressed the importance of this competition and the university's keenness since its establishment to provide a distinguished education and a suitable environment to prepare quality outputs that contribute to serving the country and meet its strategic aspirations. He noted the role of scientific competitions held by the higher education sector to refine the skills of students, encourage the spirit of creativity and competition, and discover talents and creations in various fields.
Dr. Al-Qatawi pointed out that the university participated in all scientific, cultural and sports competitions organized by the sector and won a number of awards and first places in various disciplines in addition to this level reached by the university in achieving third place in the scientific competition in the field of civil engineering among all public and private universities.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Al-Hikma University, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Balta, expressed pride and pride in the university's third place in the third scientific competition in the field of civil engineering, which was held at the level of Yemeni universities in most disciplines under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research under the slogan “You are not alone”.
He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the head of the department, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qabati, Dr. Hamoud Al-Dhafiri and Dr. Nazmi Al-Mekhlafi, for their efforts and their effective contribution in providing students with scientific and cognitive skills that enable them to compete in the labor market and win advanced positions in the scientific competition.
He stressed that this excellence and success reflects the interest and keenness of the college in advancing the educational process in the Department of Civil Engineering and the performance of academic and practical excellence for all students and urged students to join the program as Al-Hikma University is distinguished by scientific and practical performance.
