Welcome to the Department of Communications and Networks Engineering, College of Science and Engineering, Al-Hikma University. I have the honor to inform you that the Communications and Networks Engineering program is considered one of the most important disciplines, as it combines communications engineering and computer networks. The program has been described in comparison with similar programs accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Authority ABET. The department offers a rich undergraduate program that provides basic knowledge in various related fields.
The study plan of the program has been prepared in accordance with current trends in communications and computer networks to suit the needs of students and the many jobs available in industry around the world as well as for postgraduate studies. It is backed by high quality education, modern facilities, and specialized and well-equipped laboratories that help students stay competitive in their field of specialization. Students are introduced to the concepts of computer networks, network security and management, as well as wired and wireless communications, analogue and digital communications, in addition to satellite communications, mobile communications, multimedia networks, optical fibers...etc. the department also provides field and practical training for students in order to meet the requirements of the labor market well with relevant companies and institutions. The department's laboratories are equipped with the most advanced devices and equipment under the supervision of highly qualified and experienced faculty members, which maintain the competitiveness of our graduates in the labor market.
